Nic Salts

Nicotine Salts/ Nic Salt E-Liquids

Nic Salts

Derived from the tobacco leaf, nicotine salts (or nic salts as they are commonly known) are the natural nicotine crystals from the tobacco leaf and allow users to benefit from a more smoother, natural and cigarette style nicotine hit without the harsh throat hit that is caused by the higher alkaline levels from freebase artificial nicotine. Freebase nicotine also has a delayed nicotine hit compared to nic salts because it takes longer to get enter the blood stream.

Due to its natural nicotine hit, salt-based e-liquids have allowed users to convert to vaping a lot more easily and generally has a better success rate in our store. Nicotine salt e-juices are generally available in 10MG & 20MG.

Nicotine salt e-liquids are generally recommended for users who are struggling to cut cigarettes out all together or for users who generally want a more smoother vaping experience.

How Do Nicotine Salts Differ?

We have a full article dedicated to nicotine salts. In short though, nic salts have a higher acidic content and come from the tobacco leaf. On the other hand, free base nicotine has a higher alkaline content and it is the alkaline content within it that causes vapers to experience that harsh throat hit on the back of the throat.

What Can I Use Nicotine Salts In?

Most our nicotine salt e-liquids are either 10MG or 20MG with a 50/50 VG to PG mix. Therefore, you can only use them in atomisers that have a resistance of above 1 ohm. Never try to sub-ohm nicotine salts with a high MG and 50/50 mix because this can cause you to have severe headache and feel sick. Furthermore, your coil is likely to burn out and leak straightway.

Take a look at our selection of starter kits that can be used with nicotine salts. Please ensure you read the description about each starter kit device because not all of them are compatible with nicotine salts.

Nicotine salt booster shots can be used for shortfill e-liquids so that people who are sub-ohming can also experience the benefits of them. They also help to maintain your flavour.

Nicotine Salicylic & Benzoate

Between nic salts, you can distinguish between salicylic (NicSalt-S) and benzoate (NicSalt-B). NicSalt-S is a more natural state of the salts and is generally found in fruits, vegetables, nuts and herbs. It is slightly more acidic than NicSalt-B and therefore provides a smoother vape and hits your bloodstream quicker. NicSalt-B has a slightly lower acidic content and therefore gives a little more of a throat kick. However, NicSalt-B is far smoother and faster acting than freebase nicotine.
