What is Free Base Nicotine? 

Freebase nicotine has high pH levels which affects its alkalinity. The higher alkaline in freebase nicotine gives you the ‘throat hit’ enjoyed by smokers, typically this is experienced more as you increase your nicotine strength. Nicotine salt e-liquids on the other hand use the natural nicotine crystals from the tobacco leaf and result in a more natural and smoother vape.   

What are the active ingredients? 

E-liquids consist of four ingredients:

  • Vegetable Glycerine (VG) 
  • Propylene Glycol (PG)
  • Flavourings 
  • Nicotine 

VG is a food addictive that has a dense nature and this allows it to create thick and 'milky' clouds.  PG on the other hand, is thinner in nature and as a result, it produces less vapour. PG also contributes to the throat hit experienced by some e-liquids.
